I worked on brand strategy, design, and development with the team at Banter.

From July 2021 to August 2022, I helped the Banter team launch their iOS application. During conceptualization, we created a MVP desktop application to explore the base concept.

At first, Banter only sent videos back and forth between members. It helped people synchronize but lacked features related to sharing on your own time, in your own way.

Our next attempts prioritized asynchronicity and reaching outside of your Banter network. With the new build, users can choose to message anyone via text & audio with a similar level of convenience.

  • Performed market research to further distinguish Banter from other communication tools.

  • Contributed diagrams and wireframe templates to improve the process of creating concepts.
  • Designed a prototype for a Desktop version of Banter.
  • Primed Banter's Design System for cross-platform functionality.
  • Launched a polished version of the product with features related to Sharing and Groups.

I designed a a platform agnostic inventory experience for resellers.

I helped the core team update Scout in Summer 2020. Our team included 1 project manager, 2 engineers, and myself.

During our 2-week sprints, I worked with stakeholders to provide solutions from wireframe to prototype. During the development stage, I worked closely with engineers to plan next steps as needed. While designing, I focused on the transition between desktop and mobile. I updated the design system with dynamic grids to account for new screen types and densities.

After making our system more versatile, cutting through notifications and cleaning up every reseller's inbox became the priority. Because a majority of our users are mobile phone users, we needed a way to keep users engaged without requiring them to be at their desk.

I worked with the development team to create Email Hub, an email aggregator for resellers.

  • Worked cross-functionally to create strategy related to scaling Scout.
  • Laid the foundation for scaling the design system.
  • Conducted research to measure interest in NFT/Web 3.0 projects.
  • Led the redesign for Scout's mobile app
  • Improved adoption of Scout with the design of Email Hub & Global Search.
  • Established protocol for archiving/documentation of designs.

I worked closely with the team at Locker Room to create a sports fan's paradise.

For 2 weeks, I assisted Howard Akumiah and Travis Kane from Betty Labs with the Locker Room concept. Our #1 priority was supporting community and the creation of groups through the onboarding process.

Locker Room is an experience where Sports Fans gather to discuss & celebrate their interests. When building the product, our primary goal was to help users fully express their love for the sports industry in a central space.

  • Reworked Locker Room's visuals and copy.
  • Scaled the design system to be compatible with a collection of Mobile Devices.
  • Improved user retention with Discovery and Onboarding sections.
  • Frequently used A/B testing and Figma Prototypes to decide approaches with stakeholders.

I conducted an essential launch for Zonzon's product & brand.

In 2019, I led the design behind Zonzon's iOS application. My focus was constructing an experience that helps people connect with members of their community.

During my first months at Zonzon, we experienced the beginning of Covid-19. The changes that we made to our lives required an immediate adjustment.

We used a combination of Photoshop and Figma to test the waters with interactable prototypes.

  • Worked cross-functionally to create strategy related to scaling the software.
  • Created an MVP that replaces the "Like" functionality with "Support".
  • Pivoted the application during early Covid-19 with the intent of adjusting to new lifestyles.
  • Conducted user research around how people spent their time in a lockdown environment.
  • Improved adoption of Zonzon with Groups & Global Search.
  • Integrated a way to notify all Community Members during emergencies.
  • Established protocol for archiving/documentation of designs.

I integrated modularity into Stackla's marketing experience.

How might we build a website that adjusts to the type of user visiting?

From July 2021 to August 2022, I fortified Stackla's marketing experience and design system with a team of 3. During my time there, I learned that the relationship between the many types of influencers and the brands they represent is core to the product.

We brought together a team of 2 designers and 2 engineers to prototype a website that adjusts to the type of user visiting.

  • Shipped a landing page to collect interest about the state of Stackla's brand.
  • Prototyped solutions for Stackla's administration page.
  • Created interactable prototypes for front-end developers.
  • Understood problems with Stackla's administration panel by looking at feedback & talking to users.
  • Collaborated with developers to build front-end components to save time and add further detail.

I helped Runnable blaze the path to acquisition.

I worked with Runnable from multiple positions. First, as an agency designer at Collective Ray creating an alpha product for the owners of the product. Then, as an internal designer rebuilding the marketing and design system from the ground up.

When working with Runnable, I chose to take visual cues from pre-existing assets and bring the best out of them. This approach preserved what is great about Runnable and created opportunity for many new ideas. Replacing each asset with a constructive systems-based mindset allowed the team to maintain trust, gain users, hunting for acquisition with confidence. To maintain confidence levels, we made small updates to sections to reflect any recent changes.

  • Created the alpha for Runnable at a studio named Collective Ray.
  • Used a combination Ruby on Rails & React to modernize the Runnable experience.
  • United with designers to launch a new look & feel for Runnable after the initial MVP launch.
  • Designed a mascot for Runnable named Runnabro, using inspiration from prolific animators and character designers.
  • Supported code and design systems via Github.
  • Created advertisements and art for written content, managed via Jekyll.
